A meme, a meme!

The rules:

1. Leave me a comment saying anything random, like your favorite lyric to your current favorite song. Or your favorite kind of sandwich. Something random. Whatever you like.

2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.

3. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions.

4. Include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in the post.

5. When others comment asking to be asked, you in turn ask them five questions.

Questions from kalmn:

1: where do you keep home?

In my stuffed lion's head. I packed it down and put it there when I was 15; since then it's grown into quite a variety of places, and been packed down and moved again.

I'm not sure that that's what this question was supposed be getting at, but that's what that particular phrasing means to me. In the more general sense of where home is, it's here. My parents have moved around way too much since I moved out for their place to be home; also, in August they moved to Qatar. That's definitely not home.

2: do you like sushi?

Not even a little bit.

3: what do you like best about rats?

I think it's a tie between how incredibly easy they are to take care of and how individual their personalities are.

4: what is your favorite city to visit?

Hmmmm. I haven't been to nearly enough cities to even begin to narrow this down. Of the ones I have been to, I think the one I most want to go back to is London.

5: what is your favorite flavor of ice cream?

Mint chocolate chip. That's my standard answer, anyway. In practice, I like to try a variety of things, mostly based around the vanilla with chocolate and/or caramel bits in it genre. Green tea is good, too. And ginger. And the darker flavors of chocolate from Amy's, which actually taste like chocolate (pretty impressive in an ice cream).

Perhaps, on reflection, my favorite flavor of ice cream is "variety".

First post!
Here are some song lyrics -- interesting if you haven't seen them before.

Heya, Tom' it’s Bob from the office down the hall
Good to see you, buddy; how’ve you been?
Thing have been OK for me except that I’m a zombie now
I really wish you’d let us in
I think I speak for all of us when I say I understand
Why you folks might hesitate to submit to our demand
But here’s an FYI: you’re all gonna die
Screaming

All we want to do is eat your brains
We’re not unreasonable; I mean, no one’s gonna eat your eyes
All we want to do is eat your brains
We’re at an impasse here; maybe we should compromise:
If you open up the doors
We’ll all come inside and eat your brains

I don’t want to nitpick, Tom, but is this really your plan?
To spend your whole life locked inside a mall?
Maybe that’s OK for now but someday you’ll be out of food and guns
And then you’ll have to make the call
I’m not surprised to see you haven’t thought it through enough
You never had the head for all that bigger picture stuff
But, Tom, that’s what I do, and I plan on eating you
Slowly...

(Why is it that I never get much response for these? I must know too many introverts.)

Special Zombie-Themed Personal Questions:

1. So there's the pirate-ninja axis, and the robot-monkey axis. Where do zombies fall? Are they a null point? Do they define a third axis? If so, what are they opposed to?

2. The dead are rising from their graves. Where do you hole up? Why?

3. Before you hole up to fight off the zombies, do you gather any supplies? Bring any people with you?

4. What is your favorite time of day?

5. Where do you keep home? (Not remotely zombie-related, but I thought it was an interesting question.)

It is a mystery to me as well.

I did not realize the questions were themed to the random text seed. I think I like that idea.

Well, they weren't until I thought of it.

Quibble-gweep? Bip bip mongoose?

(Knockwurst with sauerkraut on pumpernickel rye, with just a touch of spicy brown mustard, right now.)

You know, the last time I did one of these, you never answered your questions.

1. Did you know your LJ bio still says "only recently moved to California"? When are you going to admit you live here?

2. I know you hang out on rasfc, but I don't know what you've written / considered writing. Anything shareable?

3. What's the plural of "mongoose"?

4. The dead are rising from their graves. Where do you hole up? Why? (I can repeat questions if I want to!)

5. Which creature in this photograph do you identify with the most?

Answers, finally! To both sets, even!
