Playreading

One of the things we did at 4th Street was sit around in a big circle and read Midsummer Night's Dream. It was fun. I think I'd like to do it again.

Midsummer Night's Dream?

It might be possible to redefine the living room, for this purpose, as including a bit of the hall and entryway and maybe some of the dining table.

Dining table yes; hall and entryway are probably hard to hear from.

I just did Midsummer Night's Dream, so I want to read something else.

Ahhh, gotcha. (on both counts.) I'm not hugely familiar with your house layout... I can visualize, but not, um, audio-ize? :)

I am inordinately fond of some of the history plays--I find them hilarious--but as I am not going to be there and only hearing about it if people post about it on lj, my opinion is just here so I can listen to the sound of my own voice.

Ooh, also Tom Stoppard is good. Has your extended household/family/friend group seen "Enigma"? It is The Awesome. It is a Tom Stoppard movie with extra WWII cryptogeek goodness that one does not have to be a cryptogeek oneself to appreciate. It is so fine.

No, I haven't. Sounds interesting -- I'd put it on the Netflix queue but they don't seem to have it. Pesky Netflix.

If I lived close enough to attend, I'd be agitating for Twelfth Night, but the others are good too. And the Barrayaran Tam Lin would be a lot of fun.

Just to reinforce my enthusiasm... Me! Big part, small part, audience part, any play, any time.
